V Process Casting Sand Mold |
V process casting’s advantages and material quality |
Both of resin sand and water glass sand need some draft angles in the past. However, we only need to control technological parameters such as hardness of casting when using V process. It is easy to draft casting product with less than 250mm height just using dedicated draft tool when there is no draft angle. |
V process product have smooth surface |
V process uses sand with more than 80 of average fineness and dedicated coating and incessant optimized technological parameters. The product with 2000mm length has about 20um surface roughness. The size tolerance of the product can be controlled between 0 to 2mm. The product has smooth surface and accurate size. |
V process can produce big and thin product |
Other company use cast and weld method to produce casting product, welding stainless steel plate with 8mm thickness to the frame. In the process of design, we take advantage of good fluidity of metal in V process model, optimizing the size of casting system. It will success in once try. Now we realize stable production. |
V process can produce complex shape product |
Thin-wall, multi-cavity product accounts for a large proportion of our casting product. Core is slathered, some product use more than 140 cores. According to “quick, stable” principle to design casting system and strengthening exhaust, integrating using loose piece, we can produce casting product that has complex shape and structure stably. The casting product in Graph 23 has 1800×900×100mm size, 12mm wall, 176KG weight and there are 43 cores in it. |
V process is especially good for producing network state product |
Common cast is easy to have casting defect such as hot tear or cold shut since there is difference between the time for casting product to shrink and the time for mold sand to scatter. It needs about 40 KG welding rod per ton casting product, the cost is high and the quality of the product is not guaranteed. V process can control the above technological parameters, and solute the hot tear, cold shut and casting insufficient problems. The product has no crack, and its inner organization is densification. |
